The Minims are our youngest ensemble, accepting choristers from grades K-2.
Taught by Willa Albrecht, the focus of the ensemble is to have fun while making music together, all with the intention of building a strong musical foundation through creating a positive, fun community where young musicians can explore their first connections to music.
Singers learn the basics of reading music, healthy singing techniques, and performance etiquette, as well as solfege using the Kodály method.

Founded in the fall of 2025, the Berkeley Youth Choir is rooted in our mission to expand access to music education. This choir will empower young singers to develop their voices, artistry, and sense of community. Through rigorous training and meaningful performance opportunities, it builds pathways for lifelong engagement in the arts.

These experiences foster confidence, broaden cultural understanding, and create lifelong memories for participants.
