Experience the glory and magnificence of music that enchanted Europe's
royalty for hundreds of years. Music by Handel, Byrd, and Dufay will
be the focus. Classes are offered for intermediate and advanced players,
amateurs and professionals, ensemble players and soloists, conductors
and music teachers. Fill your days with recorder ensembles, technique,
Renaissance consort, recorder orchestra, master class, concerts,
lectures, and more. Explore medieval, Renaissance, baroque,
contemporary, and world music in small classes with world-class
teachers. Develop your recorder technique and ensemble skills while
working with master teachers in an inspiring and supportive atmosphere.
Bring your ensemble (minimum of five players) and be guaranteed a daily
group class.
Please apply before March 1.
Enrollment for the Recorder Workshop is now closed.
If you would like to be on a waiting list, please

We will accept names from the waiting list in the order received and

Faculty
Faculty this year will include the internationally known Dutch
recorder player Saskia Coolen as leader of the recorder orchestra.
We welcome two well-loved Bay Area instructors: recorder player
Louise Carslake and percussionist Peter Maund,
a specialist in medieval hand drumming. Israeli virtuoso recorder
player Daphna Mor, an advocate of contemporary, popular, and
world music, will join us from New York City, and sackbut and recorder
player Greg Ingles will be arriving from Boston.
Finally, our new directors Hanneke van Proosdij and Rotem Gilbert
will bring their own expertise in a wide range of music.
Note:
Due to our record enrollment we are happy to welcome Eileen Hadidian to our
faculty.
