Membership Basics

Our chapter meetings are held on the first Friday of each month from 7:30 to 10:00 PM in the Garden Room at Zion Lutheran Church, 5201 Park Blvd in Oakland. The annual full membership fee remains $35. A newsletter membership costs $20 up front, plus $5 per playing session and entitles you to receive the monthly newsletter. Once you have paid a total of $35 in playing session fees, you will be considered a full member. You can also opt to pay on a per-session basis at $20 up front and $5 per session.

Membership to the East Bay Recorder Society must be renewed every September, regardless of when you joined last year. We encourage you to bring cash or a check to the September meeting. Make the check payable to the East Bay Recorder Society.

Please remember that membership in the East Bay Recorder Society is separate from membership in the American Recorder Society. If you wish to join the National ARS, you will need to pay with a separate check. Annual membership in national ARS costs $45 ($25 for students).

Both EBRS and ARS memberships costs $75 regular, $35 for students.

Once a year, the East Bay Chapter sponsors the Marin Headlands Recorder Workshop in Marin County, California, a weekend event which features guest conductors and a variety of music.
