Each of our instructors has his or her own approach to the class.
Thus our morning classes run the gamut from straightforward master class
(in which each student performs and receives instruction while the other
students observe) to various combinations of technique instruction, group
playing, and master class sessions. The recorder and vocal classes will each be
divided into two sections, since we have two instructors in each of those
areas. These sections may work together for part of the time during the week.
Our instructors plan their classes with a progression throughout the week
in mind; therefore jumping from one class to another is not suggested.
In the case of a student who plays two instruments and would like to
participate on a part-time basis in two different classes, permission
of both instructors will be required. If you want to do this, e-mail us
at baroqueworkshop@sfems.org
